Appointing a company secretary
- Appointment of an unqualified secretary – One of a director can be appointed as the secretary, subject to following conditions;
- Only if the company annual Turnover is less than one million
- Stated capital is below 500,000LKR.
- Foreigner cannot be the secretary to the company
- Single director cannot be appointed as the secretary.
Appointment of a qualified secretary
- Third party qualified entity/ person can be appointed as the company secretary.
